Responsibilities

  • Develops clear and well-structured analytical plans and utilizes data sets to analyze billing, patient populations, business outcomes, and business operations of a significant and sensitive Partners with business leaders to understand analyses and the impact of cause-and-effect relationships.
  • Maintains an in-depth knowledge of client/department business strategies, processes, and services to aid in data
  • Creates and maintains custom reports on key business areas and indicators to identify and track trending, process improvement efforts and other business outcomes.
  • Demonstrates analytical critical thinking skills for process development or problem
  • Utilizes innovative thinking and tools for optimization of processes, reports and
  • Develops written procedures and user documentation for data analysis and
  • Produces information for administrative, billing, and clinical presentations and decision
  • Presents information to multiple stakeholders (e.g., executive management, providers, staff, students, payers, internal departments/teams, networking groups and the Epic community).
  • Interprets complex billing and clinical data specifications and validates reports for quality
  • Participates in conference calls and conferences to maintain knowledge and understanding of quality initiatives in relation to data requirements.
  • Independently facilitates/leads large Meetings.
  • Initiates, manages, and completes large analytic and reporting projects, which includes delegation of tasks to other project team members and monitoring their progression.
  • Adheres to project plans, meets deadlines and timeframes, and notifies management immediately of any issues that could delay/impact the projects.
  • Proactively provides subject matter expertise regarding specialized data specification/reporting processes unique to the supported audiences of the department and collaborates with the team/other departments to ensure requirements will be met and necessary data will be pulled, validated, and submitted to successfully report.
  • Works with vendors and internal analysts to meet government, payor, and other third-party data
  • Develops recommendations based on data
  • Evaluates, trouble-shoots, and leads root-cause analysis for any errors or gaps identified during development/validation of data/reports. Understand how any related changes could impact other applications, programs and/or workflows. Collaborate with others as needed.
  • Adheres to OSUP and the OSU Wexner Medical Center established policies and procedures and maintains strict confidentiality of all data and information.
  • Demonstrates cost-effective use of supplies and of own time and others’ time; systematically organizes and prioritizes work.
  • Attendance, promptness, professionalism, the ability to pay attention to detail, cooperativeness with co-workers and supervisors, and politeness to customers, vendors, and patients.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Finance, information systems or related
  • Or equivalent amount of work experience.

Preferences: Knowledge of healthcare database management, data collection, and statistical analysis. Proficiency with predictive and prescriptive analytics. Experience in connected planning tools such as Anaplan and/or Adaptive.  Experience in Workday Finance/Reporting.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Considerable experience in computer applications including strong knowledge in relational databases (SQL is a preferred), word processing, spreadsheets, data transformation (e.g., Alteryx) and data visualization (e.g., Qlik, PowerBI, Tableau). Enterprise reporting systems experience (e.g. Workday, Anaplan, Kronos).  Ability to interpret regulatory and payor data specifications to create/generate the files/reports necessary to meet the program/contract requirements and create actionable recommendations based off that data. Strong communication skills to respond to common inquiries and complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community, along with effectively interacting with different personality types.

Demonstrates initiative, management, and completion of large analytic and reporting projects, self-motivation, and ability to work independently while being a team player.

 

 

 

Pay Range

USD $76,353.00 - USD $114,530.00 /Yr.
