Purpose: Under the direction of management, and in collaboration with The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC), creates and generates custom/standard reports for organizational initiatives and business operations including analytic development from Epic applications and databases to address operational measurement and decision making requirements. Responsibilities include querying Epic/OSUWMC databases, data analysis, data discovery modeling, creating/updating SQL queries, integration of various external data sources, and generation of presentation materials and/or data visualization tools.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Bachelor of Science in information systems or related field, or an equivalent amount of work experience.
• Epic certification (either at date of hire, or within 6 months of date of hire).
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret data specifications to create/generate the files and reports necessary to meet program/contract requirements and create actionable recommendations based off that data.
Preferences:
• Existing Epic certification in Resolute PB, Cadence, EpicCare Ambulatory, Healthy Planet and/or Clarity, or a related module.
• Experience in computer applications including proficiency in querying relational databases (including SQL), data transformation (e.g. Alteryx) and data visualization (e.g. Qlik, PowerBI, Tableau).
