• Provide skilled nursing services to patients under the direction of a physician or midlevel provider, and provides a variety of related services to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment. 
• Collect patient health data, analyze the data to determine diagnoses, identify expected outcomes individualized to the patient,
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain the expected outcomes,
• Implement the interventions identified in the plan of care, and evaluate the patient’s progress toward attainment of the outcomes,
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team. 
• Perform professional nursing work of considerable difficulty including the care of patients as outlined by physicians and the objectives and policies of the organization. 
• Provide patient and family health education and health assessment.
• needed to ensure patient safety is met prior to procedures in regards to blood thinners. The procedure navigator is responsible for :
  -Reviewing every procedure order in the workque to determine if patient is on a blood thinner
  -Working with the prescribing office if a patient is on blood thinners to determine if patient can come off of medication related to ASRA guidelines
  -Ensuring bridges of lovenox is ordered/received if pt needs this for their procedure
  -Work with the patient to ensure compliance of stopping/restarting blood thinners
  -Communicating to the provider, status of patient
  -Ensuring proper labs are drawn prior to procedure in a timeframe that does not delay the procedure.
  -Fill in procedural areas for ill/vacation times

• Associate Degree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program .
• Current Ohio Registered Nurse license. 
• CPR/BLS certified. 
• Knowledge of triage procedures along with clinic, physician office and/or urgent care experience.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
• Knowledge of appropriate procedures and standards for the administration of medications and patient care aids.
• Ability to educate and clearly communicate with patients and/or families as to the nature of disease and to provide instruction on proper care and treatment.
• Ability to convey information both in writing and verbally. 
• High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. 
• Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy. 
• Analytical ability and critical thinking to gather and interpret data and develop, recommend, and implement solutions
