Responsibilities

Purpose: Reports to the Director of Compliance and Risk Management. As the designated primary point of contact for established key and critical program areas and assigned project work, the individual fulfills a crucial role in the organization. This includes providing oversight to the Compliance Educators, HCC Program staff, and the Sr. Compliance Data Analyst, ensuring effective communication and collaboration within the team. Ensures regular communication with leadership, clinical and corporate teams, team members and other supportive teams to escalate barrier(s) and ensure necessary follow-up is completed. Effectively provides reporting updates, opportunities, comments/concerns, etc. to facilitate awareness across internal and external collaborative partners.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key and critical program areas and project work assigned, reporting to the Director of Compliance and Risk Management.
  • Coordinate resources to ensure ongoing effectiveness of critical program areas.
  • Supervise daily activities of Sr. Data Compliance Analyst, Sr. HCC Compliance Specialist, HCC and Compliance Educators, and HCC Compliance Coder, monitoring, and documenting project outcomes.
  • Conduct and support complex qualitative and quantitative analysis of billing data, summarizing and communicating findings effectively.
  • Collaborate with others to implement and evaluate organization-wide project plans.
  • Develop and implement new methods, processes, and systems to improve team's work, including creating dashboards for compliance audits and physician risk/billing data.
  • Identify and implement procedures to enhance data quality, streamline reporting processes, and deliverables.
  • Recommend measures to maintain a high level of project effectiveness.
  • Assist in defining reportable measurements and key outcomes dashboards.
  • Manage communication and relationships with key project stakeholders.
  • Compose, edit, and deliver written and verbal communications.
  • Schedule meetings, prepare, document minutes, and ensure follow-up on action items; may facilitate group discussions and mentor team members.

  • Travel may be required to attend meetings or other informational/educational sessions.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:  

  • Bachelor’s degree coupled with 3-5 years of relevant experience in healthcare compliance and data analytics.

Preferences:  

  • Master's degree in business, healthcare, or related field.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification and training a plus.
  • Has consulting experience or past employment in an academic healthcare environment.
  • Has experience with interpreting regulatory rule and/or healthcare finance/regulatory reporting.
  • Proven advanced skill level of Microsoft Excel and/or Business Intelligence tools for data visualization.
  • Experience working with Epic or other electronic medical record software.
  • Experience managing value based/population health programs.

Pay Range

USD $78,261.95 - USD $117,392.92 /Yr.
