What will you be doing?
Performs ophthalmic diagnostic imaging utilizing all photographic techniques applicable to the specialty of ophthalmology in order to properly document parts of the eye, including the cornea, iris and retina. Ophthalmic Photographers interact with patients, patients’ families, and physicians. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload.
What are we looking for in our next new hire?
Two years of photography experience required. Evidence of organizational and problem solving skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Demonstrative effectiveness in conveying information both in writing and verbally. Demonstrates an understanding of job responsibilities and uses appropriate knowledge and skills to effectively complete work. Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy. Position serves as a facilitator in change management within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines. Demonstrates courtesy to others and promotes mutual respect.
Preferences: Two years of Ophthalmic background is desired. Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred. Familiarity with Zeiss, Topcon, Optos, and Heidelberg photographic systems, as well as with the operation of Ophthalmic Ultrasound A and B mode; Clinical competence with multiple OCT systems.
