We are currently seeing a medical assistant to be part of our Telehealth Team. This position is currently remote; however, please note that this status is subject to change, and the role may transition to an on-site arrangement at any time.

 

This position requires residency in the state of Ohio and a maximum commute distance of one hour to onsite location.

Responsibilities

As a Telehealth Medical Assistant,  you will be interacting virtually with our patients to ensure they obtain the care and assistance needed prior to the telehealth visit with a nurse or physician.

 

Some of the Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Review and update patient charts, virtually room patients, obtain  and record patient vital signs, and medical history, and assess reasons for patient visits.
  2. Within scope of practice, perform tasks related to medication administration and documentation.
  3. Educate and advise patients on specified medical issues within established parameters.
  4. .May provide ‘after visit summary’ and other related care documents. 
  5.  Assist with check-in/-out functions, scheduling, patient referrals and follow-ups, and other clerical duties as assigned.
  6.  Must successfully complete Ambulatory Skills Orientation upon hire and annually thereafter.  Works with clinical preceptor to enhance training and improve any skill deficiency.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent along with at least one of the following:

  • A diploma from a Medical Assistant Program, or
  • Minimum of 1 year of medical assisting experience, or
  • Equivalent of 1 year combined relevant medical assisting experience and education, or
  • Military Medic training, or EMT-P (Paramedic) training

Preferences:

  • Medical Assistant Certification

Pay Range

USD $17.49 - USD $28.19 /Hr.
