Responsibilities

As an Identity and Access Management Administrator, you’ll serve as a critical liaison between Human Resources, Information Systems, operational leaders and Security teams, to ensure operational success and optimal patient access. 

 

The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Administrator is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of digital identities and access rights for OSUP employees, contractors, vendors, and affiliates. This role ensures secure, compliant, and efficient access to systems and data across the enterprise, supporting both operational needs and regulatory requirements.

  • Administer account provisioning, modification, and deactivation processes for employees, contractors, vendors, and third-party affiliates.
  • Maintain accurate records of access requests, approvals, and terminations.
  • Coordinate with HR for employee hires, transfers, and separations.
  • Oversee access for non-employees (contractors, students, vendors) who require system or facility access but are not paid by the practice plan.
  • Ensure access is role-appropriate and adheres to the principle of least privilege.
  • Work with OSUP Information Technology and OSUWMC Security teams to integrate Active Directory, enterprise accounts, and clinical systems access.
  • Perform periodic access reviews, reconcile discrepancies, and remediate inappropriate access.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Legal, and Compliance on workforce identity policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with OSUWMC and OSU Information Technology teams with respect to ServiceNow onboarding, termination and identity/account management activities.
  • Support audits (internal, external, and regulatory) by providing access reports and documentation.
  • Monitor compliance with HIPAA, security policies, and institutional access standards.
  • Develop, document, and continuously improve workflows for onboarding, access, and termination.
  • Assist in the implementation of identity automation tools, self-service password reset, and access request workflows.
  • Provide training and guidance to departments on access request processes.
  • Provide centralized support for identity and access management for Human Resources and Operational Leadership.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex access-related issues across platforms acting as a subject matter expert.
  • Process access requests including identity verification, account creation/modification, and role mapping.
  • Monitor and respond to access alerts, loss of access, and override issues.
  • Support managers and employees during OSUMC transitions and onboarding.

 

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, human resources, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with identity management, system administration, or related access management role within IT or HR.
  • Prior experience working with Active Directory, enterprise account systems, and security best practices.

 

Preferences:

  • Experience in healthcare, higher education, or regulated environments
  • Prior experience working with regulatory requirements such as HIPAA, SOX, and FERPA.
  • Knowledge of HR and IT systems such as ADP, Workday, and ServiceNow.
  • Certification(s) in identity management, security, or IT service management such as CompTIA Security+, ITIL, or CIAM.

Pay Range

USD $72,602.60 - USD $108,903.91 /Yr.
