OSU Physicians is seeking a detail‑oriented Reimbursement Analyst to support our Revenue Cycle teams through high‑quality analytical and financial insights. In this role, you will gather, analyze, and translate complex reimbursement and billing data into clear, actionable information that helps leaders manage operational performance. Responsibilities

Purpose: The Reimbursement Analyst supports the Revenue Cycle team by collecting, analyzing, and presenting data related to revenue and operations. This role provides valuable insights and project support that help Managers, Directors, and Executive leadership make informed decisions and effectively manage the organization’s revenue cycle performance. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:   

  • Researches and analyzes data to answer questions, find trends, and monitor billing scenarios utilizing office productivity software and database query tools. 
  • Provide statistical and financial impact of trends 
  • Review carrier websites, regulations, and policies, as they relate to coding and reimbursement. 
  • Contribute to Corporate discussions with the analysis and impact of any changes noted in the policies. 
  • Generate and monitor system reports and review accounts to ensure reimbursement is made according to contract. 
  • Prepares and presents quality reports, reviews, and analysis. 
  • Collaborates with Managed Care team regarding the performance of payors and the statistics as shown on their scorecards. 
  • Attendance, promptness, professionalism, the ability to pay attention to detail, cooperativeness with co-workers and supervisors, and politeness to customers, vendors, and patients. 

Qualifications

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Administration, Statistics, or related field. 
  • Prior health care billing, professional coding, patient accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

 

 

Preferences 

  • Experience with EPIC professional billing.  
  • Proficient in data analytic software, including but not limited to Microsoft products and QLIK Sense.  
  • Understanding of managed care policies and procedures, contracts, and payment Methodologies.  
  • Experience and understanding of professional coding; CPC beneficial. 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  

  • Strong mathematical, statistical, financial, and organizational skills; experience with complex reporting and analytic processes.  
  • Extensive experience using analytical software and applications general understanding of coding and claims operations.  
  • Must have tact, diplomacy, and communication skills necessary to interact with peers, department personnel, administration, and physicians on a professional level.  

Pay Range

USD $66,002.00 - USD $119,740.00 /Yr.
